Review: Blueprints by Barbara Delinsky

My Review:

The heartbreaking story of loss, love and relationships. Barbara Delinsky is skilled at bringing her characters to life in real life situations. Be sure to have your tissues ready!

We follow the lives of two people, Caroline and Jamie McAfee, the mother-daughter DIY team of the TV show, Gut it. The producers feel it's Jamie's time to shine and time for Caroline to take a back seat in the show she has hosted for 20 years. On top of this shock, tragedy strikes and Jamie is now responsible for her 3-year old brother. The title is fitting as Jamie is an architect and that's her true passion.

The blueprints of the mother and daughter relationship are in danger. This isn't just a romance it's about how we rely on that mother-daughter relationship and how we can stand strong alone. This was a splendid story and one I'd read over and over.
